RUBENS ring

The Rubens Ring is a beautiful, heavy and curvaceous ring of solid silver inspired by the full-figured Rubenesque style of 16th Century Flemish painter Peter Paul Rubens. Initially carved from wax, it was then molded and cast. The Rubens TALL RIng, is narrower but taller than the Rubens Wide ring.

Sir Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640) was a Flemish artist and is considered the most influential artist of Flemish Baroque tradition. His paintings depicted women as soft-bodied, passive, and highly sexualized beings, his nudes emphasize the concepts of fertility, desire, physical beauty, temptation, and virtue. Additionally, Rubens was quite fond of painting full-figured women, giving rise to terms like 'Rubensian' or 'Rubenesque'
